Default Raising Dire Hero Pets

Ok, I DID perform a search for a topic on raising dire hero pets BEFORE I made this thread, and NOTHING came up, so if this has already been posted somewhere, I can not find it.

I dont know if it is possible to raise a heros pet to dire, but I am trying.

I have given Margrid a pair of Starter Daggers, the lowest damage weapon in the game, and loaded her skill bar with heavy damage pet attacks and protections.

I have been taking her near foes and targeting them for her without fighting myself.

I dont know if this is going to work or not, I myself have never been able to raise a pet to dire despite following all the great advice from everyone who has.

Have any of you been able to raise a hero pet to dire?

If so, how did you do it?

If this topic has already been posted somewhere, my apologies for the repeat, but just like when I performed a search for Dye Remover topics, the search function returned no matches for raising hero pets as dire.

death leveling is the most reliable method.
take a monk hero and the hero you want the pet on.
clear the area around the pet.
send everyone away except the monk hero and you.
aggro the pet(do a little tiny ammount of damage).
disable all of the monk's skills except for a rez.(make sure he is set to pacifist)
take off all your armor.
let the pet kill you.
the monk rezzes you.
let the pet kill you.
rinse and repeat.
go bake a pie or something. this will take awhile.
once the pet is the level you want(above 15). continue.
put armor back on.
re-enable healing skills on monk.
let hero you want the pet on come back(with attacks disabled).
hero charms pet.
yay... dire pet wiht 5% of the effort.
